Jags Game

We went to the Jags game Sunday it was the season opener against the Tennessee Titans.
The half time show was my favorite part, since it was September 11 it was very patriotic.

We fried ourselves... I look like a raccoon/lobster
With football starting I keep thinking it should be cooler. Though we have had some nice days we are still baking- I am so jealous of everyone who gets to have fall weather!

Weekends

So I am a little behind... just thought I would show you Micah's first trip to the pool. There isn't much this boy dislike's doing. He was more then happy to swim around in his floaty- the sunscreen keeps his hair up in a  little mow-hawk

Total lady killer
For mothers day we skipped the restaurants and had a few couples over whose parents aren't local
8 adults can wear a baby out...

Don't worry we didn't leave him there!

Why aren't weekends longer?

We had a lovely weekend. Micah got a nap in the hammock...  which is why he has the red mark on his cheek...he loves the thing
We went out for a ride with some of Ubers coworkers Sunday afternoon who just happen to be the nicest group!
And another garland is up in the shop

I'll be back tomorrow with a crafting project/mini tutorial.

Saturday was a perfect day

We spent the afternoon arranging mums house and sewing while the guys went for a bike ride and then we ate 'Mexican' food and watched two (5ft+) gators swim around a pond with those creepy soft shelled turtles... we did not hope the annoying children fell in....
And then we ran by the beach for a quick walk
The first one Micah stayed awake for
These two crack me up
and it is so much fun having these two so close
hope all of your weekends were lovely too....back tomorrow....

Fort Clinch

Saturday we headed up to Amelia Island to check out Fort Clinch. We've lived here 5 1/2 years and visited this area quite a bit and never new it existed until just recently- which is so weird! We lucked out as they were having their living history day (we had no idea when we went and I guess it only happens twice a year). It was fun but already getting to be rather hot so I can't imagine visiting this place in the summer!

These buildings are awesome! I would so love to live in one - of course I would require an A/C installed!
Can you imagine this being your living room? I want this ceiling!
They had a band (would it be called a band?) whatever there were about 7 guys playing period music (think Gettysburg) and they were pretty good so that was cool.
Family picture, Micah's chewing his elephants head off...
Micah was so good! We went to check out the beach and pier and he stuck his feet in the ocean- which was COLD and he managed to be happy through all of it! Mum has additional pictures that I haven't gotten from her yet so maybe she will post them for you!

Playing catch up

Well I guess I took a little unannounced vacation, things were busy around here so blogging just didn't happen. But we were having a lot of fun! So to catch you all up here's what we've been up to.
On memorial day presidents day (one of those days- thanks kelly) we took Micah on his first bike ride.
He loved it!
He met his Great Grandpa
We took Micah on his first weekend getaway and ran down to Orlando for a weekend. He did fantastic. The nights were a little rough but overall it was a great first trip.
He slept through a lot of it.
Micah turned 5 months old

I can't believe how fast he is growing! It rather ridiculous.
He had some Grandma time
Some Daddy time
Crazy Uncle Beau time
Beau and Micah showed up to worship dressed the same... I will love this forever! Unfortunately Micah left his shades in the car...
Grandpa's hard work finally paid off he rigged up a zip line for Micah in the back yard... which he, Matt and Beau have been playing on (and maybe mom and me) We (Mom and I) finally found time to make a safe swing for Micah. I searched online and found a design I felt comfortable with and we copied it (with improvements of course)
Micah spent over an hour playing in it and never fussed we finally took him out because it was getting cold but I have a feeling this is going to be a favorite all summer! This child has no fear- we are in so much trouble!
And now you are caught up to yesterday. I have a bunch of video but that will have to wait for later. I have a house to clean!

Memorial Weekend 2010

We headed up to Atlanta to visit with some of Ubers family. We always have fun when we go up to see them!
We went to check out the Georgia Aquarium, which was fantastic! Here's all of us in front of the Beluga tank.

This looks photoshoped to me but we actually 'snuck' into one of the conference rooms with a private viewing tank and the belugas loved that window. This part alone would have made the entire trip worth it... of course belugas are one of my favorites!

I just had to pet things... as always! At the end of the post is a quick video of our day at the aquarium. The best shots we got were on video. If sea life bores you I wouldn't bother! Next we popped over to the High Museum of art which was hosting The Allure of the Automobile exhibit. It was fun but very short. Of course when you've been to the Mercedes Museum it's not really fair to compare any other car exhibit.
Saturday evening we when to Stone Mountain to see the laser light show they put on in front of the Memorial at night. There were a LOT of people there!

Thanks to my phone we read up on the history of the carving via the infallible wiki while we were waiting for it to get dark. Which turned out to be just a little on the colorful side...
Regardless of that though it was fun to see.
Georgia Aquarium
There is really just so much to see and do in the Atlanta area. We already have a weekends worth of ideas planned for our next trip. It's just so wierd to think the next time we head up there we will have a kid to lug along with us!
