Playing catch up ... again

Micah wants to show you his teeth
(though I must admit they are a lot farther along now then this picture)
We took him on his first kayak ride
It wasn't long but he seemed to enjoy it
I enjoyed not having to pretend like I was helping

unfortunately a crazy storm blew in and we all had to vacate the beach ... see the guy in the background? The wind and sand was out of control
Uncle Kris came out for a visit-if you hadn't picked up on that- Micah and him had a blast
He is now known as Mega Me...
 Their similar expressions are uncanny
And for all of you who don't have a beach near here's a gratuitous dolphin shot
And a fresh from a swim baby eating his first Ritz cracker
And one for the road -- who knew the car seat could fit in the mini?
Hope you all had wonderful weekend!

Friday Night Fireworks at the Baseball Game

We took Mum, Dad and Micah to their first Suns Baseball game this last weekend but first we stopped by the Burrito Gallery - which was seriously delicious I would like to know why I had never heard of this place before!
We had to entertain/torture Micah while we were waiting for out food...

 I think Micah enjoyed himself
 hanging out with Grandpa
 taking a nap on Grandma
being shocked that the Suns actually pulled out a win in the last seconds of the game...
Funny story- Micah was sitting on ubers lap when the game winning home run ball came down a foot in-front of them- Uber caught it in his hat but it bounced back out again ... of course another guy grabbed it... but seriously how crazy is that!
he definitely enjoyed his first fireworks show
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! See you next week!

Saturday was a perfect day

We spent the afternoon arranging mums house and sewing while the guys went for a bike ride and then we ate 'Mexican' food and watched two (5ft+) gators swim around a pond with those creepy soft shelled turtles... we did not hope the annoying children fell in....
And then we ran by the beach for a quick walk
The first one Micah stayed awake for
These two crack me up
and it is so much fun having these two so close
hope all of your weekends were lovely too....back tomorrow....

Wedding Signature Picture

Remember this wedding invite? Well they didn't have time to use my graphic for the invites but they did end up using it at the wedding. We had it printed onto an 18"x 24" canvas
Which they had all of the guests sign
The ADORABLE couple (his Dad did the ceremony)
The wedding turned out sooo beautiful ! It was a backyard wedding, the house sits on a lake in a golf course community and it was so nice- the little lake even had an alligator that swam around- AWESOME! The bride had 1000 cranes strung up.
And the beautiful cake (via Cinotti's Bakery)

And the car ... because it just makes me laugh!
Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

Fort Clinch

Saturday we headed up to Amelia Island to check out Fort Clinch. We've lived here 5 1/2 years and visited this area quite a bit and never new it existed until just recently- which is so weird! We lucked out as they were having their living history day (we had no idea when we went and I guess it only happens twice a year). It was fun but already getting to be rather hot so I can't imagine visiting this place in the summer!

These buildings are awesome! I would so love to live in one - of course I would require an A/C installed!
Can you imagine this being your living room? I want this ceiling!
They had a band (would it be called a band?) whatever there were about 7 guys playing period music (think Gettysburg) and they were pretty good so that was cool.
Family picture, Micah's chewing his elephants head off...
Micah was so good! We went to check out the beach and pier and he stuck his feet in the ocean- which was COLD and he managed to be happy through all of it! Mum has additional pictures that I haven't gotten from her yet so maybe she will post them for you!

More Beach

Starfish are hard to come by but some neighboring beach goers let us play with one they caught.
Mum is loving being so close to the water.
What is this? It's so small but we were pretty sure it was alive.
Mum holds things too! It kept suctioning on to her hand!
The beach is getting cooler... not by much but enough to make shell hunting much more pleasant!
