The Eagles (football)

A friend requested an Eagles growth chart.... everyone knows I am totally not a sports team person - but it's always fun to try something different!

I really enjoyed the process... though it was time consuming... the design at least was a no brainer. I tried to make it look as close as I could to the pictures of their stadium that I found online.
It's painted with acrylic on primed canvas and then I sealed it with a Matte Finish.
Lots of fun to do... unfortunately I had to buy the canvas in bulk so now to figure out what to do with the remaining 4+ yards of canvas... I listed some of it in the shop... but I am sure you'll be seeing a lot more projects with it in the near future
hopefully the new parents will enjoy it
And so the little one will be ready to dress for the games this next season a onesie was made
This was done using the usual freezer paper method-- I cut multiple layers of paper to print the different colors-- fun on a small item ...could drive you crazy though

Etsy Update

I've been adding some things to my etsy shop- not super interesting but it's where I've been. Things take much longer now then they used to!

Growth Charts- just the printed portion so you can decorate and finish them yourself.
I restocked the sunshine garland
and added two new versions
this blue one is my favorite
I have a few more that in the works... need to make a joanns run so it will probably be another year... yuck!

And here is the boy- I meant to post this picture with the video the other day as an AFTER shot he wore himself out! This was his first fall asleep while playing... I love it!
and here he is rocking his outfit from Grandma C she sent a box of awesome goodies- I need to show you the toys... they're awesome. We we're able to squeeze him in the shirt once- he's such a porker he is already up in 9 month clothing  (sometimes 12 month) but the pants will fit for a while longer.
Alright off to see what I can accomplish today!

Baby MAC's Growth Folio... Maybe

I still haven't decided if I will be keeping this chart or making an embroidered version like this. But since I just completed it I figured I would show it to you! It has all of Uber's favorite picks on it.
This picture is terrible-- I just don't have the energy to retake it! But it gives you the general idea....
Close ups--
I so want this guy for real! He looks so squeezable!

Along with something new he requested! Who doesn't like woodpeckers?

Anyway I will let you know if I decide to put it in the shop... For now it's going to sit up in the nursery!

better late than never...

I finally finished this growth chart for a little friend who is already 3 months old... How did that happen so quickly?! I'm not sure how much his mom reads the blog... so hope this isn't spoiling anything. He has a monkey themed room.

So the token monkey.

a new caterpillar...

and the totally fun new grasshopper and cat tails which I am totally digging. Hopefully I will be getting this in the mail tomorrow.... and I hope he doesn't have one already.

Something New

I actually managed to not show this project before I finished it (can you believe that?) so this is going to be a picture heavy post.
I have been wanting to do a growth chart in the same style as my pillows for quite a while and I finally got around to marking it off my list.

The animals are a mix of embroidery and felt. I wanted them to be more on the realistic side I think it turned out pretty well.

The fox. I was a little worried about the fact that he is supposed to be a fox getting across because the felt is a little more brown then I wanted but a friend saw the chart at the shower and knew what he was right away so whew! Hopefully people won't think it's a dog or something.
I second guessed myself a LOT on doing the birds in full embroidery but I think they turned out.
Bees. I love them, but not in real life!
I am digging hives to. The Black Apple had a sketch a while back that had a girls skirt as a bee hive and I have been even more jazzed about them since... it would be a really cool costume or just to make a skirtthat looked like that... too bad I dont make clothes... or maybe it is a good thing because I think I would try it! Mum? What do you think?

Totally digging the nest. The twigs making it up were a lot of fun to do.

I used Song bird in Teal by Holly Anderson for the back and gave myself two ways to hang it since I couldn't decide what I would like more.
Well I am off to get another project started. It's totally going to be copying someone else (Jennifer) so I hope she doesn't mind! I will be back later with pictures!

And another...

I never realized that I liked owls but after the last chart I decided I wanted to try them out again just a little more realistic this time. I am so happy with the way it turned out! There are three different owls on the chart.
I was a little worried that this one might be scary but I think his eyes make him ok.

This one is fun, I think he is a baby.
But this one is by far my favorite. I definately think he will be popping up again in some future projects. I totally want to take him home...
and another new creature the snail.

Anyway it's up in the shop.
Well sorry there's not much more to say. I am watching Last Chance Harvey and it is rather depressing... I am hoping for a happy ending? I have another two charts to finish up and then I will try to be on to something more interesting.... like the new graphics that I have half way finished... that I have nothing to do with after completing them... oh well
