The lack of sunlight makes having plants in our house impossible. So I decided to make myself a little terrarium.... out of felt! I am really thinking the world could be made out of felt!
This is TOTALLY someone else's idea check out Lisa Jordan's blog lil fish studios mine looks like a 5 year old made it compared to the beautiful work she does - I wish I could afford it! If you haven't seen her before you must check out all of her amazing creations!I just made a simplified copy of hers though I realized later mine is about 4 times the size of hers... which is actually harder (I think) Anyway I have plans for another one that will be my own design...as much as it can be.... lol by no means will it really be mine.
Anyway I LOVE it and it is now on a shelf in my dinning room.... should have taken a picture of that! It's a nice pop of color!
And here is the boy who is growing up so fast! He was actually laughing at me tonight. Got to love it!

Your mushroom is so sweet. I've never tried any 3-D felting but I love Odiles work over on flickr.

Her little mushroom terraniums and mushroom gardens in containers are adorable!
That is a great idea. Love the way it looks. The picture of the boy.......miss him so!
I continue to be amazed at the things you do. Even with such great inspiration, I wouldn't be able to do this! Can't wait for the next thing!
That is such a cool idea! I too have some light issues in this house. A terrarium would be just the thing, and the mushrooms... well, they are just too cute. Felt, such an awesomely useful fiber, I wish I could do something like this too! Way to go Jess, yet another great project! ;-)
Oh, so stinking cute! I love it! You did such a great job. I think I like yours better than the original. :)
Uh... ok... that is FAB!!!!! That would be like the one plant I wouldn't kill!!! Way cool Jess!
I love this!!! I am still trying to figure out how you made the underside of the mushroom, think I've got to try one of these, great job!!!!
